Welcome…not before time!

Welcome to a blog that has been long in the making and convincing.

For as long as I can remember my greatest passions in life are travelling and being disappointed with Southampton FC. As I prefer to be disappointed with my football and not my travel, I tend to stick with luxurious trips. Whether that be being upgraded free to BA first class, flying the world’s best business or sailing in 5* luxury, i’ve either done it or it’s on the list. This isn’t to say I don’t share the downsides too, such as bad transfers or immigration issues I’ll tell you it all.

After going on a solo trip to the Maldives, which was originally booked as a trip to Bulgaria (it’s a story for another day) I had an outpouring of love from people for my solo travel adventures. After updating friends and family every day from my adventures, I’ve finally been convinced to put my travels in one place.

What I assumed was common knowledge about travel, wasn’t so common after all. I assumed everyone knew about Avios or where to find the cheapest deals, but that’s where Laura the Luxury Explorer comes in. As well as taking you on my journeys, I’ll show you how I book them and how I get the cheapest deals.
